A Concept in Career Development through Community Participation

The City is working with Midland Job Link and the Education Department in conjunction with local businesses to provide an in school program that gives year nine students a first- hand insight into what kinds of careers are available to them, what working in the different careers is like and what they need to do to follow a career if they choose it.

The areas of economic hardship, skills shortages, community wellbeing, local employment and local business support, for and by the community have lead to the City proposing a program that engages local businesses and professionals in delivering an in school career orientation for year nine students, providing them with the means to make informed decisions concerning their future.

The Career Choices program is aimed at delivering vital information at a time when career decisions are critical to the future of the individual and eventually their community.

Should your business wish to participate contact Jayne Long at Midland Job link on [PH 9250 1516 & jayne@employmentdirections.org.au ]
